About the event
An evening of music and spoken word reflecting on the Japanese-American experience. Internment survivor David Sakura shares the stage with the premiere performance of Kenji Bunch’s new “String Quartet No. 5, Songs for a Shared Space,” commissioned and performed by Sheffield Chamber Players. Also on the program are Bunch’s “Minidoka,” a viola work that commemorates survivors of the infamous American concentration camp, played by the composer; and a cello solo composed by Bunch, commissioned and performed by Sheffield co-founder and cellist Leo Eguchi.
General Admission: $35 or pay-what-you-can
